ROSARY RECITATION: In celebration of one of the Apparitions of Our Blessed Virgin Mary to the three children at Fatima, we will pray the Rosary at the outside Grotto on Sunday, October 13, at 1:00 PM, followed by a potluck meal in the Parish Center. Everyone is asked to bring a covered dish (in a disposable container) to the Parish Hall by 12:00 Noon.

MINISTRY OF THE WEEK – ALTAR SERVERS: Any person who has made their First Holy Communion and in good standing with the Church, is eligible to become an Altar Server and assist the Priest with the celebration of the Sacrifice of the Mass, training sessions will be offered soon on Wednesday afternoons from 2 to 4 PM in the church. This class is mainly for students, in Catholic School, Public School or Home Schooled, but Adults are also invited to learn. Exact dates of training sessions will be announced at a later date by Fr. Henry. Four out of five classes are required before someone can be scheduled to serve a Mass. Call Fr. Henry if you are interested, 388-3887.
YOUNG AT HEART GROUP: Meets Thursday, October 10 at 11 am in the Mary & Joseph Rooms of the Parish Center for socializing and games, Bring a brown bag lunch and drinks will be provided. Plans and activities for the October 16 outing will be reviewed. Anyone needing transportation to or from the meeting can call Jim at 388-4549. Group is open to all 55 years and above. The Oct. 16 outing is a day at the Biloxi Welcome Center with lunch at Boom Town Casino.
WORLD WIDE WHEELCHAIR PROGRAM: The Knights of Columbus #9409 is participating in this program to provide wheelchairs for those not covered by insurance, Medicare or Medicaid. At this time we have 3 manual wheel chairs available. If you need a wheelchair or have wheelchairs to donate, contact Jack Fields or Jim Rigby
“FRIENDS OF THE POOR WALK” THANKS: Fatima’s Saint Vincent de Paul Society would like to thank everyone who supported them in the “Friends of the Poor Walk” fundraiser this past weekend. It was a lovely morning, with more than 60 walkers joining them! Your generous donations and support helped us raise $5,309 to help the poor and homeless in our area.
“RED MASS” FOR THE LEGAL COMMUNITY OF SOUTH MS: Bishop Kihneman will celebrate a ‘Red Mass’ for the Legal Community of the Diocese of Biloxi next Sunday, October 13 at 11a.m. at the Cathedral of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary. This Mass, celebrated annually, honors all members of the legal profession, regardless of religious affiliation: judges, lawyers, law school professors, law students, and government officials, marking the opening of the judicial year.
ANNUAL DIOCESAN MASS OF WEDDING ANNIVERSARIES: Will take place on Sunday, November 3, at 2 p.m. at the Nativity BVM Cathedral. Registration forms can be found on the counters in the vestibule of the church.
